Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
Chapel House has been awarded a grant for Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability by the Division of Student Success at the University at Albany for the purchase of four electric ranges to replace the current 20+ year old ranges in the kosher and non-kosher kitchens and for the addition of an energy star rated upright freezer to replace two under the counter freezers. We believe that replacing some of our out-dated inefficient appliances that are in disrepair with new more energy-efficient models is the environmentally responsible thing to do.
